Go elsewhere if you don't want to waste hours trying to get them to submit a prescription correctly to the pharmacy that makes the product they don't have on hand. My order was cancelled THREE times by the pharmacy because the vet kept submitting it incorrectly for what she wanted and it sat "in fulfillment" for a week before I had to call and ask what the delay was. The vets are only in half the week with no one to assist their patients while they are out. I'm sure they'll write some snarky response detailing all of the ways that they did everything right because even on the phone yesterday she told me - yep this last order will go through everything is fine - despite me reading the order to them that they sent from their office that what she was telling me she ordered was not what was on the order they forwarded. I hung up very frustrated after spending an hour calling vet source and Wedgewood pharmacy and was assured all was well and it would be delivered. Low and behold I get an email telling me that my order was ready to be purchased and the old one was cancelled. I won't be coming back. One particular front office staff is very rude and dismissive when you express that you're frustrated and trying to understand what happened. I suspect she is the one writing the snotty replies on here and yelp.

EDIT: I went back and the final amount I was charged was about $70 than I was quoted hardly 15 minutes after I agreed to the invoice total. Not happy and would not recommend. Fool me once I guess going back and expecting to pay what I was told was too much to ask. original review: I’ve taken my cat I have been bringing one cat here for about a year and a second more recently, and overall have had a mixed — but generally positive — experience. The staff has always been kind and caring, which I appreciate. My main concern has been communication during appointments. In my experience, much of the initial discussion about tests and treatment decisions takes place with a technician before speaking with the veterinarian. As a result, I did not always feel fully equipped to make informed decisions about what was most urgent. In one instance, I approved testing for the cat I was most concerned about, only to later learn from the veterinarian’s exam that the issue prompting my concern was not considered particularly worrisome. Had I been able to speak with the vet beforehand, I likely would have prioritized testing for my other cat instead. Because veterinary care is expensive, those forgone tests would now cost several hundred dollars more, making them difficult to pursue immediately after already spending close to $700. Clearer guidance upfront would have helped me make different choices. I also chose to vaccinate both of my cats without realizing the vaccines required a second dose to be fully effective. I later learned the boosters would involve additional vaccine and exam costs for each cat, which came as an unexpected expense. I wish this had been more clearly explained beforehand so I could better plan financially and make a fully informed decision. I will likely continue bringing my cats here, but I hope the practice might consider having veterinarians involved earlier in decision-making or providing clearer explanations of costs and treatment plans before clients are asked to choose.

Brought my new pet here and was seen by Dr. Apodaca, I had a lot of stupid new puppy questions and was prepared to probably be talked to in a condescendingly matter like most of the more negative reviews have. To my surprise, that was the complete opposite experience I had and while I was only here for a first time patient visit, I’m coming back for my puppies next round of vaccines. Edit: Shortly after they moved locations it seemed that prices increased. After having a couple rough customer service experiences with the front desk about appointment times and them attempting to reschedule we started to consider switching vets. The final motivation to do that was when they silently installed a policy that they would no longer approve prescriptions through any third party like Chewy or 1800PetMeds because of supposed counterfeit issues or even provide the physical prescription. They would only approve prescriptions through their approved pharmacy which of course was 25% + more expensive.

We drove up to Santa Fe just to see Dr. Abernathy. She took her time to meet us and our newly diagnosed Oaklie. She’s lost her sight and wanted more info as we navigate this new life for her. Incredible experience and will be back for continued care.
